CEO
Nick Stravs
Nick Stravs is Openly’s CEO and is charged with leading the shaping and delivery of Openly’s services, in particular the inaugural Openly Transparency Index©.
Nick brings an entrepreneurial background in corporate brand and reputation building, public affairs, ESG communications, global social good campaigning, international agency and NGO leadership.
He started his career in NSW politics with the election of the Greiner Government, and was then a partner in Australia’s first issues management consultancy.
Nick spent 20 plus years working internationally from Europe with multinational clients in senior client facing roles at some of the world’s largest communications agencies. Nick holds a BA from the University of Sydney and the Pearson FT Non-Executive Director Diploma.
Chief Integrity Officer
Mick Bray
Having started his legal career as an associate to various Federal Court Justices, the importance of integrity in all dealings was drilled into Mick from a young age.
Following graduation, Mick spent 10 years in private practice in top-tier law firms Clayton Utz, PricewaterhouseCoopers Legal and Corrs Chambers Westgarth specialising in litigation and competition law. Mick then took his expertise in-house for close to twenty years.
Mick brings extensive knowledge in dealing with the C-suite in strategic and operational matters touching compliance, disclosure, risk and reputation and was instrumental in designing the Openly Transparency Index©. Mick holds a BA (ANU) and LLB (UTS).
Founder and Chair
Nicholas Booth
Nick founded Openly after observing the increasing value placed on transparency in corporate-government dealings by investors, voters and others. He believes that greater transparency in this area is a win-win - it helps deliver trusted policy decisions and it unlocks reputation value for companies.
Nick has worked in and around corporate affairs for most of his career, in listed companies and highly regulated industries, across Australasia, South East Asia and the UK.
Continuing his involvement with Openly, Nick is proud to serve as chair.
Advisory Board
Anna Whitlam
Anna founded WhitlamCo. in 2023 to leverage her wealth of experience advising CEOs and boards on their critical people leadership decisions. She is the past founder and CEO of AWPeople, a global executive search firm that specialised in the functions that impact reputation. Under Anna’s leadership, AWPeople was acquired in 2021 by a multinational CEO advisory firm. She is a member of CEW, and proudly sits on the board of the Snowdome Foundation, assisting to fund state-of-the-art cancer research.
Luisa Megale
Luisa has held executive leadership positions in corporate affairs and customer engagement at international organisations including Lendlease and American Express. Throughout her extensive career, Luisa has created strategic communications and stakeholder engagement campaigns that have increased brand value, enhanced company reputations and opened new markets and revenue opportunities.
Jennie Galbraith
Jennie is ESG Director of London-based Inflexion Private Equity Partners. She is also the chair of peak body, the Institute for Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability. With over twenty years of ESG experience, Jennie has previously worked for British American Tobacco, the Co-operative Group, and Co-operative Financial Services.
Rt Hon Sir David Carter
Sir David served as the Speaker of the New Zealand House of Representatives from 2013 to 2017 and as a Cabinet Minister in the fourth and fifth National Governments. Post politics he has continued farming and sits as chair of Ruralco, patron of the NZ China Friendship Society and has spoken at UN forums.
