Key Findings - ASX50 October 2024
The inaugural Openly Transparency Index© shows that the practice of voluntarily, visibly disclosing information related to government interactions is nascent in Australia. This presents an opportunity for your business to lead the way.
Key findings:
- Transparency is still developing in Australia. Most ASX50 companies are at the beginning of their transparency journeys.
- There are clear gaps in transparency practice. No company has reached Openly’s ‘Advanced’ or ‘Leading’ ratings.
- Corporate integrity is gaining importance. Top companies like Rio Tinto, Telstra and BHP are prioritising transparency as key to reputation management, signalling leadership in setting a new integrity standard.
